Police Impounds

To retrieve your police impounded vehicle, you must present a state issued photo ID
as well as a release from the applicable law enforcement entity.
All tow/storage fees must be paid prior to removing personal contents.

Iowa State Patrol Impounds Generally, a release is not required from the Iowa State Patrol. Contact our office at (319) 354-5936 to make arrangements to pick up your impounded vehicle.

To redeem vehicle, bring your release slip to the impound lot at 3309 Highway 1 SW, Iowa City, IA 52240.
Release hours 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sunday through Saturday.

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
For payment with a credit card the card holder must be present.
There is an ATM available in the Big 10 Office.
